# Update request for information

**Update request for information** submits the `proof` needed to resolve a pending RFI, transitioning its `status` away from `pending`. Only `self-declaration` and `message-signing` proofs are submitted through this endpoint — see [Proof types](/developer-guides/travel-rule/overview#proof-types) for their shapes. A `satoshi-test` RFI resolves on its own once Uphold detects and confirms the corresponding on-chain microtransfer — there's no proof to submit for it.
